All the Trendiest Shoes for Fall 2021
Come each new season, past trends give way to new ones, bringing in a wind of change to our wardrobes. And this fall is no exception.

While summer has not officially reached its end, the time has come to prepare our wardrobes for the fall season ahead. With the cooler temperatures, we’re packing away our beloved sandals in favour of this season’s hottest boots and loafers. Ahead, all of our favourite on-trend shoes that have been seen on the Fall/Winter 2021-2022 runways.
KNEE-HIGH BOOTS
Knee-high boots are a great fall classic that have officially made their comeback. This season, we’re loving a crocodile-style leather, which remains ultra-chic no matter the occasion, as well as boots with height and a comfy sole (the thicker the better!). Aside from our beloved booties, we’re also seeing the knee-high trend make its way to other shoes, particularly our loafers and oxfords.
CHUNKY BOOTS
Platform ankle boots (or chunky boots as our neighbours to the south call them) have been gaining traction in recent seasons and have been endorsed by a host of luxury brands, from Prada to Bottega Veneta. With their chunky sole and ultra-cool style, this model embraces fashionable versatility, as it matches our bohemian dress just as well as it does our trousers.
SHORT RAIN BOOTS
Rain boots for fall? Yes, yes, yes! This season, short rain boots are the go-to choice for keeping our feet dry in style. With endless models on the market, we’ve got a soft spot for these designer rain boots from JW Anderson, adorned with striking chain. No matter your pick, we promise you’ll be trendy from head to toe.
CHUNKY OXFORDS AND LOAFERS
Thick soles have been seen everywhere this season, and we’re not complaining. We’re specifically seeing this trend focused on our oxfords and loafers. The goal: to give these classic models a cool silhouette in tune with the times, as we have seen on the runways of Phillip Lim, Loewe and Simone Rocha.
FUZZY SLIPPERS
Not quite ready to step into your heels? Fret not! From Chloé to Altuzarra, designers everywhere have reinvented the comfort that accompanied us during confinement by offering us fuzzy shoes, which could easily be mistaken for a pair of slippers. Just pair them with a silk dress and you’re ready to hit the town.
Jewelled Shoes
After spending the past year in confinement, we understand the urge to dance until the late morning hours. For their Fall/Winter 2021-2022 Fashion Week collections, designers reimagined ankle boots and pumps with crystals, chains and flashy jewels. We’re loving these extravagant styles for nightly events just as much as we do for everyday life.
