Ever-vibrant clothing designer Lilly Pulitzer Rousseau passed away on Sunday at the age of 81. Famous for her brightly coloured garments and tropical prints, Pulitzer’s career took off when her schoolmate Jackie Kennedy was photographed in her designs. Pulitzer had been selling juice with her new husband Peter in Palm Beach, but her self-designed uniforms were more in-demand than her juice. Pulitzer quickly became a popular high-end designer who created playful, preppy looks which reflected her lifestyle. Known for throwing great parties, Pulitzer once said, "That’s what life is all about. Let’s have a party." [
