Tinchy Stryder says he and Dappy “bring out the best in each other”.

Rapper Tinchy and the N-Dubz frontman have teamed up for the track ‘Number 1’ in 2009, and ‘Spaceship’ earlier this year – both of which were top five hit singles in the UK – which he puts down to the “chemistry” between them in the studio.

Tinchy exclusively told BANG Showbiz: “We really get along, and he suggests things to me, I suggest things to him, so we make the tracks together, it’s a true collaboration.

“We bring out the best in each other. It definitely just works, the chemistry is there and it is natural. We never really have to think about it, the energy between us alone brings that out.”

When they work together, Tinchy says he’s always conscious of breaking new ground and not repeating past successes.

Tinchy added: “When Spaceship went top five I felt real good. When people heard Tinchy and Dappy they probably thought it would be like ‘Number 1’, but it sounded nothing like that, it sounds fresh.

“I always want to do something I haven’t done before, or you would probably get bored of even your own music.”
