Rory Gilmore

Having turned down Logan’s proposal, the Yale grad sets off to follow the Obama campaign as a reporter.
Lorelai Gilmore
First Seen: Season 1, Episode 1, “Pilot”
Last Seen: Season 7, Episode 22, “Bon Voyage”
When we leave her, Lorelai is maybe, probably (fingers crossed) getting back together with Luke before having a final meal with Rory at the diner.
Emily Gilmore
First Seen: Season 1, Episode 1, “Pilot”
Last Seen: Season 7, Episode 22, “Bon Voyage”
Emily is last seen at Rory’s goodbye party in Stars Hollow, telling the younger Gilmore Girl she’s honoured to be her grandmother. She also makes plans to possibly invest in Lorelai’s inn.
Richard Gilmore
First Seen: Season 1, Episode 1, “Pilot”
Last Seen: Season 7, Episode 22, “Bon Voyage”
At Rory’s party, Richard tells Lorelai she is a great parent, saying, “It takes a remarkable person to have inspired all this.” (**Grabs Kleenex**) While Edward Herrmann, who played Richard, passed away in 2014, the Gilmore patriarch will no doubt be remembered fondly in the upcoming episodes.
Luke Danes
First Seen: Season 1, Episode 1, “Pilot”
Last Seen: Season 7, Episode 22, “Bon Voyage”
In the final season, Luke wins partial custody of his daughter, April, and tries to figure out his relationship with Lorelai after their breakup. He secretly plans Rory’s graduation party and then cooks Lorelai and Rory one last meal.
Sookie St. James
First Seen: Season 1, Episode 1, “Pilot”
Last Seen: Season 7, Episode 22, “Bon Voyage”
Still the co-owner of the Dragonfly Inn with Lorelai, Sookie gets unexpectedly pregnant with her third child in the final season. She’s last seen telling her BFF that it was actually Luke who put together Rory’s party.
Lane Kim
First Seen: Season 1, Episode 1, “Pilot”
Last Seen: Season 7, Episode 22, “Bon Voyage”
In the final season, Lane gives birth to twin boys. She and Rory say goodbye by reminiscing about their friendship, with Lane reassuring her bestie that she’ll kill it as a journalist.
Paris Geller
First Seen: Season 1, Episode 2, “The Lorelais’ First Day at Chilton”
Last Seen: Season 7, Episode 21, “Unto the Breach”
Paris gets into medical school at her OG dream college, Harvard. Her boyfriend, Doyle, vows to follow her, and she and Rory promise to stay friends.
Logan Huntzberger
First Seen: Season 5, Episode 3, “Written in the Stars”
Last Seen: Season 7, Episode 21, “Unto the Breach”
Logan gets a job in California and asks Rory to marry him. Rory rejects his proposal, saying she isn’t ready to get married but still wants to stay together. Logan isn’t having it and breaks up with her.
Jess Mariano
First Seen: Season 2, Episode 5, “Nick & Nora/Sid & Nancy”
Last Seen: Season 6, Episode 18, “The Real Paul Anka”
Jess now lives in Philadelphia, where he works at a publishing house. He invites both Luke and Rory to an open house for the company. Rory kisses Jess to make Logan (who she’s angry with) jealous. Jess is mad about being used, but tells Rory it’s OK if it’ll make her happy.
Dean Forester
First Seen: Season 1, Episode 1, “Pilot”
Last Seen: Season 5, Episode 18, “To Live and Let Diorama”
Separated from his wife, Dean and Rory give their relationship another shot. But with Rory busy with school and Dean working multiple jobs, the two drift apart, with Dean realizing he no longer fits in her life. After their breakup, Dean is last seen comparing him and Rory to Luke and Lorelai, warning Luke that they won’t last.
Christopher Hayden
First Seen: Season 1, Episode 15, “That Damn Donna Reed”
Last Seen: Season 7, Episode 21, “Unto the Breach”
After divorcing Lorelai, Christopher returns to town for Rory’s graduation, and the exes find they’re still able to partake in their trademark witty banter.
Kirk Gleason
First Seen: Season 1, Episode 5, “Cinnamon’s Wake”
Last Seen: Season 7, Episode 22, “Bon Voyage”
The Stars Hollow everyman is last seen giving Rory an honourary sash at her farewell party.
Michel Gerard

The sarcastic, Destiny’s Child-obsessed concierge is still working with Lorelai and Sookie when we leave him.
