Where: Broadlands, Hampshire and Birkhall, Scotland
Following their 1947 wedding, the 21-year old Queen and 26-year old Duke of Edinburgh set off to Broadland House in Hampshire, which was owned by Prince Philip’s uncle. After their stay in the English countryside, the newlyweds travelled to Birkhall lodge on the family’s Balmoral Castle estate in northern Scotland.

Where: Mediterranean cruise
A few days after their 1981 fairytale wedding, Charles and Diana jet-setted to Gibraltar to board the Royal Yacht Britannia for a cruise in the Mediterranean. Princess Anne's daughter, Zara, an Olympic equestrian married former England rugby union player Mike Tindall in 2011.
