K-beauty just got a little more mainstream. M.A.C Cosmetics announced a collaboration with Korean makeup artist and influencer Park Hye-min, better known by her online moniker, Pony. The collection, which was three years in the making, features Pony’s take on some classic M.A.C favourites, as well as a few Korean-inspired products that are new to the brand. The packaging design is inspired by tarot cards.

“My collection with M.A.C is super meaningful to me in that I am able to bring K-beauty, Korean culture and Asian beauty and culture to the global market,” says Pony. “I’ve been showing various looks on my social networks and videos for years and through this collaboration with M.A.C, I’m able to bring the actual experience to global consumers so they can experience my vision directly and hands-on as they try the products.”

The star (pun intended) of the collection is the new Matte Lip Mousse, which comes in nine shades. Lip mousse has been a K-beauty staple for years – look no further than the popular 3CE Cloud Lip Tint or Etude House Color in Liquid Lips Mousse. It’s key to creating the popular ombré and watercolour lip looks. Like its Korean counterparts, the M.A.C lip mousse is pigmented with a soft-matte finish.

The rest of the collection includes an eyeshadow palette with eight rosy neutral shades, two highlighters, an iridescent setting spray, plumping lip gloss as well as face and eyeshadow brushes and a set of eyelashes. Radiance is a recurring theme in the celestial-inspired collection and each product is decorated with sun, moon or star motifs for a makeup line that’s out of this world (sorry).

M.A.C Pony Park drops online and in select M.A.C stores on September 21st. Get a first look at every product in the collection below.
