“If you always wear nail art, then you should wear nail art on your wedding day,” says Rita Remark, global lead educator for Essie, who suggests picking jewellery-toned accents like rose gold, silver, pearl and finely milled glitter. “Don’t be afraid of texture,” she adds. “Weddings are so personal; they are not meant to be trendy. People focus too much on whether it will still look good 10 years from now. I look back on [old] photos of myself and laugh, but I know I felt good in the moment. Don’t think too hard about whether something is classic; just focus on where you are at this point in your life.”
